URGENT: Tell Our State Legislators to Oppose HB3564
We need your help once again to speak out against House Bill 3564.
State Senator Michael Simmons, the sponsor of House Bill 3564, which dramatically reduces or eliminates important fees that are vital to our industry, introduced an amendment to the bill, which makes this bad bill even worse. This new language greatly increases the number of fees that would be outlawed, and places severe restrictions on many others. In short, it greatly harms our ability to manage our properties.
A hearing on the bill takes place this Wednesday, 5/21, in the State Senate Executive Committee, and it could be passed out of committee that day.
We need your help sending messages to the members of the State Senate. Our opponents issued a call to action yesterday calling upon the State Senators to support this bill. We can’t let this go unanswered.
Please take a moment to send an email urging the state senators to vote NO on HB3564. Tell them it would be bad for neighborhood housing, and bad for the people we serve.
